DOCUMENTED OPINION, THAT THE SOLUTION TO THE WELL-KNOWN ECONOMIC PROBLEMS OF A MICROALGAE BIOREFINERY SHOULD
ARISE THROUGH THE INTEGRATION AND SIMULTANEOUS OPTIMIZATION OF ALL THE PROCESSES INVOLVED IN IT, NAMELY: (I ) OPTIMIZATION OF MICROBIAL STRAINS ON A LABORATORY SCALE, (II) DESIGN OF THE UNIT WITH LOW COST AND HIGH PRODUCTIVITY CHARACTERISTICS, (III) DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION OF "SMART" AND LOW COST FRACTIONATION METHODS.
