Description: THE PROJECT'S OBJECTIVE IS TO DETERMINE THE AGE OF A SPECIFIC AQUIFER SYSTEM N GREECE UNDERGOING NITRATE POLLUTION THROUGH TRITIUM/3HE AND NOBLE GAS TECHNIQUES. GROUNDWATER DATING RESULTS WILL BE INTEGRATED INTO THE DRASTIC MODEL, WHILE MACHINE LEARNING TOOLS, INCLUDING TREE-BASED AND NEURAL-BASED MODELS, ALONG WITH ADVANCED SPATIAL ANALYSIS TOOLS, WILL BE DEPLOYED TO DETERMINE FACTOR WEIGHTS, RATING SCORES, AND MAP INTERPOLATION. THESE GROUNDWATER DATING METHODS WILL BE COMBINED WITH NITRATE POLLUTION TRACERS (E.G. NO3, Δ15Ν, Δ18Ο OF NO3) TO IDENTIFY THE POLLUTION SOURCES. OVERALL, THE PROJECT AIMS TO APPLY THESE PARTICULAR GROUNDWATER DATING TECHNIQUES FOR THE FIRST TIME IN GREECE AND COMBINE THEM WITH VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT AND MACHING LEARNING TECHNIQUES.
