Description: THIS PROJECT DEALS WITH THE DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION OF AERODYNAMIC AND AEROELASTIC OPTIMIZATION METHODS, FOCUSING ON THE USE OF MACHINE LEARNING DURING THE OPTIMIZATION. ADJOINT METHOD FOR COMPUTING ACCURATE SENSITIVITY DERIVATIVES OF THE OBJECTIVE FUNCTION WITH RESPECT TO THE DESIGN VARIABLES IS USED FOR THE OPTIMIZATION. THE APPLICATIONS FOCUS ON AIRCRAFT WINGS, CARS, ETC. THE PROJECT ALSO DEALS WITH UNCERTAINTY QUANTIFICATION METHODS BASED ON MACHINE LEARNING. THIS INCLUDES DISSEMINATION OF THE RESULTS OF THE RESEARCH PROJECT
