Description: THE AMOS RESEARCH PROJECT AIMS TO DEVELOP PERSONALIZED SCAFFOLDS THROUGH 3D PRINTING FOR THE EFFECTIVE TREATMENT OF LARGE BONE GAPS (OVER 6 CM) IN FEMORAL FRACTURES. THIS INNOVATIVE APPROACH COMBINES BIOMEDICAL TECHNOLOGY WITH ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING, AIMING TO IMPROVE THE BONE HEALING PROCESS. THE PROJECT INVOLVES THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF 3D PRINTED SCAFFOLDS WITH CUSTOMIZED POROUS STRUCTURES, BASED ON THE SCIENTIFIC UNDERSTANDING OF MECHANICAL AND BIOLOGICAL FACTORS OF OSTEOGENESIS. THE PROJECT AIMS TO REDUCE RECOVERY TIME, MINIMIZE COMPLICATIONS, AND IMPROVE PATIENTS' QUALITY OF LIFE.
