Description: THE INSTALLATION OF THE STATUE OF "DAUGHTER OF THERA" ON ITS NEW BASE INCLUDES THE INSTALLATION OF A DOWEL FROM THE BOTTOM END OF THE PISTON TO A SUFFICIENT DEPTH IN THE LOWER PART OF THE BODY OF THE STATUE OF THE ORDER OF 50 CM AND A Π-SHAPED MOUNTING CUSHION BEHIND THE LEGS AND ON THE SIDE PARTS. THE DOWEL IS INTENDED TO BE PERMANENT AND THE CUSHION WILL BE FIRMLY ATTACHED TO THE BASE. THE ENTIRE CONSTRUCTION OF THE STATUE AND ITS NEW BASE WILL BE ABLE TO SUSTAIN THE SELF-WEIGHT LOADS AND THE INERTIA FORCES DEFINED BY THE CURRENT CODES, AS WELL AS A SET OF SEISMIC EXCITATIONS THAT WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE SPECIFIC SEISMIC HAZARD STUDY FOR THE PROJECT LOCATION.
