| Description: | THE AEGIS PROJECT IS DESIGNED TO MEET THE NEED FOR SAFE AND EFFICIENT DEPLOYMENT OF ONSHORE POWER SYSTEMS, BY CONDUCTING EXPERIMENTAL AND COMPUTATIONAL ANALYSIS TO EXAMINE THE SHIP-PORT INTERFACE CORROSION AND ASSESS THE PERFORMANCE OF CATHODIC PROTECTION SYSTEMS. SUBSEQUENTLY, FIELD TESTS WILL BE CONDUCTED, TO DEMONSTRATE THE REAL TIME VALIDATION OF AEGIS SOLUTIONS. THESE STUDIES WILL PROVIDE A SCIENTIFIC FOUNDATION FOR DEVELOPING ROBUST REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS NECESSARY WITH KEY PARTNERS, IMAREST, IEEE, AND AMPP. FINALLY, EXTENSIVE DISSEMINATION, TRAINING, AND CAPACITY BUILDING WILL ENSURE THAT SCIENTIFIC FINDINGS AND TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS ARE TRANSFERRED TO INDUSTRY STAKEHOLDERS, REGULATORY BODIES, SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY |
